Judy Brunner is an author, consultant and co-founder of Edu-Safe. Ms. Brunner has been in public education for twenty-six (26) years as a teacher, elementary, middle, and high school principal. She is widely known in the profession as a leading innovator for incorporating safety and security strategies into a school environment and is a regular presenter at national and state conferences.
Ms. Brunner serves as Clinical Faculty at Missouri State University and instructs on a variety of educational and school safety topics. Additionally Ms. Brunner is a graduate of the National School Safety Center's School Safety Leadership course, trained in Crime Prevention through Environmental Design (CPTED), and co-author of several school safety publications. She has authored a variety of school safety articles for state, regional, and national publications and is a regular reviewer for new publications from Eye on Education and Corwin Press.. Judy is the co-author of "Safety Tips for Principals" published monthly in NASSP's Principal Leadership.
Dennis K. Lewis is the co-founder of Edu-Safe, an advisory and training organization established to assist school administrators and others with the task of providing safe schools. Mr. Lewis has over thirty (30) years of experience in working to provide safe schools and communities including (17) years as the Director of School Public Safety for a large urban/suburban school district.
Mr. Lewis provides workshops across the country on the topic of school violence and crisis management, presents on a regular basis at state and national conferences, and is a guest lecturer at several universities. Mr. Lewis is a graduate of the National School Safety Center's School Safety Leadership course. Mr. Lewis has conducted numerous school safety assessments and is trained in Crime Prevention through Environmental Design (CPTED).
He has authored numerous articles for national school safety magazines, periodicals, and has provided interviews nationally and internationally including the British Broadcasting Company and the Toronto Globe. He is the co-author of "Safety Tips for Principals" published monthly in NASSP's Principal Leadership. In addition to being a certified peace officer, Mr. Lewis is the Past President of the National Association of School Safety and Law Enforcement Officers. He is widely respected in the field of school safety.
